Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that six of its subsidiaries, including Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. (Chuo Ward, Tokyo; President: Yutaka Nagao), acquired PAS 1018:2017 (hereafter “PAS 1018”*) certification, an international standard for refrigerated parcel delivery services.
*PAS 1018:
This is an international standard for refrigerated parcel delivery services offering transport with an intermediate transfer. Focusing on temperature control of compartment such as the refrigerated compartments of vehicles, it stipulates requisites for transfers during transport. It was issued on February 28, 2017, with the participation of Yamato Holdings and other refrigerated delivery service providers in Japan as well as overseas industry organizations.
- Purpose of Certification
Due to global economic growth and e-commerce market expansion, demand for refrigerated delivery services is on the rise not only in Japan but all over the world. In order to reassure our customers in countries covered by our Cool TA-Q-BIN service and enhance our service quality in objective terms, we underwent review by a third-party organization and acquired PAS 1018 certification.

- Future Efforts
As the Yamato group expands its Cool TA-Q-BIN service in Asia, it is also proactively enhancing its refrigerated delivery service quality in each region. With the PAS 1018 certification, we will not only maintain a high level of service quality and provide services that customers can use with confidence but also contribute to making the refrigerated parcel delivery service market in all countries, especially those in Asia, larger and safer by encouraging other logistics companies to get certified.
